When power supply is switched off, the magnetic field due to the current in the primary coil suddenly drops to 0, creating a flux change, which in accordance with the faraday's law induces current in the other coil, and in accordance with Lenz's law, the direction of the induced current is such that it wants to oppose the change, any change

Similiarly, the last observation too agrees to the lenz's law, as when power is sewitched on, the flux increases from 0 to a fixed value in a given time and hence iunducing current in the voil in the process
