Question

A sequence logic circuit has one input (x) one output (x) and six states labeled A-F. The circuit is dashed by the state table shown below. Entries in the two right hand columns represent the next-state output-value combination for each present-state conditions and input value. For example, if the present state is B and an input x - 1 is applied, the new state will be D and the value of z will be 0. If the circuit is initially in State C and the input sequence x = 100 is applied (meaning the first input is 1, the second input is 0. etc.), the output sequence is best described by: 101 010 100 111

Explanation / Answer

First input of the given input sequence =1 and the initial state is "C" .so according to given table for input =1 and initial state "C" , output will be 1and the next state of circuit will be" B".

So for next input ,the initial state of circuit will be "B".And according to question, the next input =0 .So for input =0 and initial state =" B",output according to table will be 1 with next state of circuit ="B" again.

So for next input the state of circuit will be "B" .Now according to question, input is =0 .So output will be again 1 and next state of circuit will be B again.

Hence total output will be 111
