lac Y --- Always made (because there in no repressor and Y gene)
b) lac Z --- Always made (because here operator has consicutive mutation so that never bound to repressor and operat gene which is cis regulatory to Zlac so Z is always made)
lac Y --- never made (because here Is mutation in repressor gene not completely mutated means one chromosome is mutated to shut and not produce repressor while another chromosome is responsible for production of repressor and bound to operator thus Y is never made. lacIs is a super-repressed mutant in which the repressor does not bind lactose and thus will not disassociate from the operator region )
c) lac Z --- Never made (because here lacZ gene itself mutation and never transcribed)
lac Y --- Only made w/inducer (because repressor gene is actively transcribed and can bind to operator but with induction lactose can bind to repressor and make inactive repressor thus Y trancribed)
d) lac Z --- Always made (because there consititutive mutation in operator thus, Z gene transcribed always)
lac Y --- never made (because repressor gene is actively transcribed and can bind to operator and Y is never transcribed)
e) lac Z --- Always made (because there consititutive mutation in operator cis to Z+,so Z gene transcribed always)
lac Y --- Only made w/inducer (because here it is inducible because there is repressor which show trans action so induction with lactose make y gene to be transcribed )
