(Figrure 1)

r1 = 120i+530j

r2 = 400*sin60i+400*cos60j=346.4i+ 200j

r1-r2 = -226.4i+330j

1) angle = tan^-1(330/-226.4) = -55-54 north of west

2) distance = sqrt(226.4^2+330^2)= 400.19 paces
