Be sure to explain the answer, not just give an example. Don' the basic point of the question. 1. What is meant by "DNA code?" 1 pt.) 2. What is the human genome? (1 pt.) 3. What was the Human Genome Project? (2 pts.) Cse 4. Give two or three examples of research related to the human genome project, and the impact of the project on the knowledge and treatment of genetic diseases. (4 pts.) 5. What are the causes and symptoms of Tay Sachs disease? (3 pts.) 6. What are the causes and symptoms of cystic fibrosis? (3 pts.) 7. What was the role of private industry in getting the human genome project completed? (2 pts.) 8. Explain the concerns and problems associated with industry. patent rights, etc being involved in genomic research. (3 pts.)Explanation / Answer
.. a DNA code or also called as genetic code, are sequence of DNA which translated into protein. A single code consist of 3 bases and is code for particular amino acid in that protein. In simple word “ a trinucleotide of DNA is responsible for single amino acid formation is called as DNA code”.
.. human genome is a complete genetic material of human which is arranged in the form of 23 pairs of chromosome in each cells.
.. for understating the genetic of humans, human genome project is initiated. HGP was design to determine complete sequence database of human DNA for understanding its mechanism and expression.
.. sequencing Huntington gene, complete sequencing of BRCA gene and sequence identification of X chromosome are some examples of human genome project. now we have complete sequence data of human genome. We can screen any disease, what type of mutation, deletion, duplication or trisomy we can diagnose at early stage of life, even a prenatal level.
