Question

Do not convert units

As shown, a load of magnitude P is applied to a structure. Assuming that all members are weightless and that ABEF and BCD are rigid bodies, find the magnitudes of the reactions at D and G needed to maintain the structure in equilibrium.

Assume the following values: a = 4.50m , b = 3.00m , and P = 102N .

As shown, a load of magnitude P is applied to a structure. Assuming that all members are weightless and that ABEF and BCD are rigid bodies, find the magnitudes of the reactions at D and G needed to maintain the structure in equilibrium.

Explanation / Answer

3*110=10.5*G and D=110+G moment on bouth sides has to be equal (prepedicular force x distanc) and D is just the weight. im not 100% sure about this i just did it in further maths at a levels but i thing its correct
