Question
I need B and C explained for me. I know the answer for B is:
A will go out and B,C, and D will get brighter, but why? I know the answer for part C is: D will go out but B and C will remain the same. Why? Wouldn't they get brighter?
This circuit has 4 identical light bulbs. Rank the brightness of the four bulbs. Explain. If points a and b are connected by a wire, what happens to the brightness of each bulb? Explain. Assume the connecting wire (from part B) is still in place. Now bulb D is removed from the circuit so no current can flow through that branch. What happens to the brightness of each bulb now? Explain.Explanation / Answer
current will be maximum form bulb A (say I) and then through A and B ( i = I xD / (A + B + D)) then from D.
so briness A >B = C > D
B. A is shortcircuited .
current though A = 0
B = C > D > A = 0
C. now all bulbs are in series . so same current .
A = B = C
