Question
Assume that the national economy cycles from expansion to recession repeatedly with a period of 12 years for a full cycle (assume economic expansions and recessions are equally long so the follow a wavelike pattern. A) What's the frequency? B)What state is observed is observed 50 years after the starting point of the cycle? C) Consider five other countries with similar cycles and periods of 2,4,6,8, and 10 years respectively. Which nations will be fully expanded in 15 years? 18 years? 21 years?I'VE ALREADY SOLVED THIS PART. I JUST NEED HELP RELATING IT TO COSMOLOGY.
Explanation / Answer
A)frequency= no. of cycles per year=1/12 year^-1 B) A cycle ends at end of 48th year(48=multiple of 12) So theyre will be expansion in the 50th year C) "countries with periods p will be fully expanded at the end of years ( (np) + p/2 ) where n is a natural no." 15 years: 15= n(2) + 2/2 for n=7 SO the coutnry with period 2 years will be totally expanded 15= n(4) + 4/2 . NO SUCH NATURAL NUMBER n exists. SO the 4 year period country will not be expanded then. Others are similar.
