My pictures won't copy and paste but for the Parallel Plate Capacitor the picture has the positive side on the left and the negative side on the right with about 5 or 6 vertical lines spread throughout the picture representing the equipotential surface, then we have the horizontal lines (going across the vertical lines) representing the electric field.

Next, we have a dipole configuration. The positive side on the left and the negative side on the right with about 3 circle rings around them. Coming out from the positive side are arrows that are shooting across to the negative charge. With the middle line that is in the middle (straight between the charges) pointing towards one another.
