Question
finding unknown currents under steady state conditions.
Under steady state conditions, find the unknown currents(I1,I2,I3,I4,I5,I6) indicated in this multi-loop circuit using Kirchhoff's rules.I think i have the currents for I1 through I4 (I1=-6/5 amps,I2=-2/3 amps,I3=8/15 amps,I4= 6/5 amps)but the capacitor in the bottom loop is throwing me. What would the currents for I5 and I6 be and are my other currents correct?(sorry for the crudeness of the drawing.)

"Steady state" means the same thing as "after a long time". The capacitor is charging up due to current 5, but after a long time the capacitor is fully charged. Which means it can't accept any more charge.
Which means... current 5 must be zero.
It's a simple concept that a question like this is designed to test you on. If you get another one of these, just know that after a long time, or steady state, the capacitor is fully charged so any current through it must be zero.
