Question
7. The bovine isozyme control sample contains all 5 of the LDH isozymes. Compare each sample run with the isozyme control and determine which isozymes predominate in each of the tissue samples. Is this what you would have predicted knowing which tissue the enzyme was isolated from?
8. Examine both commercial bovine heart LDH samples run on the native gel (lanes 3 and 4) and discuss possible reasons for the results observed.

7. In bovine skeletal muscle, the isozyme M4 is predominant. In bovine heart muscle, cibacron blue purified LDH and gel filtration purified LDH, the isozymes M3H, M2H2, MH3, and H4 is predominant. In sample three heated at 100 degree for 20 min, none of the isozymes is present.
8. It becomes inactivated at high temperatures which is heat-labile and thats why no band is seen when the sample is treated at 100 degree for 20 min .
