Question

Can someone help me answer these

Describe how clathrin mediates vesicle formation Describe how preteosomes destroy proteins in the cell and what the signal is that activates them. Describe how lysosomes destroy proteins. Why do lysosomes not destroy themselves? What happens to a cell if a lysosome is damaged? Why? What is autophagy and why is it important? What are the main forms of autophagy? How does Pink detect nonfunctional mitochondria? How do Pink and Parkin work together to mediate the destruction of defective mitochondria? Describe a current model of how alpha synuclein uses Parkinson's disease. Describe a current model of how mutations in LRRK2 cause Parkinson's disease.

Explanation / Answer

Ans 1. Clathrin mediates vesicle formation by the process named receptor mediated endocytosis or clathrin mediated endocytosis . In this process the receptors and their ligands are brought into the cell through a mechanism . The ligand binds to the receptor and then diffuses to the plasma membrane and forms a clathrin quoted pit

The pit matures and pinches out from the plasma membrane and forms of clathrin coated vesicles which then uncoates itself and fuses to endosome.
