a) If the elements A-E are postive regulators then, these are considered as enhancers. Had they been, negative regulator of the gene, i.e if these elements repressed the trascription of gene, these would be cosidered as silencer.
b)SInce A is silencer, hence it will repress the gene transcription while B, C,D being enhancers will promote gene transcription. Therefore option c. B and D and e. C and D are correct.
c)Option c. B and D and e. C and D are correct. Same reason as in part b)
d) Methylation of H3K4 leads to gene transcription, hence associated with enhancer i.e element B whereas methylation of H3K9 leads to gene repression, hence associated with silencer i.e element A. Therefore, option c.H3K9Me and H3K4Me is correct.
