A software solution for ticket reservation system.

1. What are the different types of users going to use the system ?
Ans: Customer : These are users who is going to make reservations.
Admin : This is the user with administration privileges.
Travel Operators : These are the people who provides the services for travelling.
2. Does a customer should be registered in the system before using the system?
Ans: Yes
3. What all functionalities can a customer can perform ?
Ans: Customer can view the system, search the system based on different categories, can check how many seats are available, can put reviews on the services provided.
4. What all functionalities can an admin can perform ?
Ans: Maintain the registered customer details, maintains the reservation details, maintaining of the reviews posted by customer and generate reports.
5. What are the different types of Reservation availbale ?
Ans: Confirm reservation for confirm seat and waiting list reservation
6. How many seat can a single customer can reserve ?
Ans: Maximum 5 seats can be booked by a single customer.
7. What is the cancellation policy ?
Ans: A customer can cancel the ticket atleast 4 hrs before the commencement of journey and the amount will be repaid after cutting 15 % of service charge.
Description of the problem
The reservation system allows a registered customer to book and pay for an activity in the system. First the customer will have to fill a booking form. According to customer choices in booking form the available options will be displayed. The customer can select one of the above options and will then pay through a secure payment gateway, and the payment will be transferred to you. After successful completion of the payment a ticket will be generated with a unique ID and that will be send into the customer. The automation of reservation confirmation emails can also be configured in the system.

1. What are the minimum software requirements to run the system?
Ans: Server Software requirements: Front end --> Asp.net with c# or Java EE and back end--> sql server.
Client Software requirements: Operating Systems--> windows xp or higher version and Web Browser--> any compatible web browsers.
2. What are the different database tables to be created ?
Ans: Customer_Registration_Table : stores information about customers registered.
Login_Table: stores information about login
Booking_Table : Stores information about booking details.
Ticket_Price_Table : Stores information about the prices of the ticket.
Review_Table : Stores the reviews provided by the customer.
3. Describe the User Interface specification.
Ans: The front-end design can be created by using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
4. How to choose an eCommerce payment gateway for your system ?
Ans: Choose any payment gateway which is secure and popular.
5. How the real time tracking can be provided?
Ans: By using the GPS system installed in the transport system, it will finds its location and send it to the web browser.
4.Description of the solution:
Create a home page for admin, visitor and customer. Visitors the unregistered customers and only the search page can be accessed by them. A visitor can register in our system using registration page. Once visitor is registered then he will be called as a customer. A customer can reserve the seats using the reservation page. Once reservation is done it should navigate to reservation confirmation page. After this it should go into the payment page. When customer completed the payment then it should take into the generate ticket page and a confirmation mail should be sent to customer.
