Question
I'm getting inconsistent answers. I've tried following other examples on the internet, but they are either hard to follow or wrong. please help
the second is just brightened up a little, same exact question
A circular ooil has a 13.5 crn radius and consists of 43.0 closely wound turns of wire. Are terra y produced magnetic field of magnitude 3.76 mT is perpendicular to the coil. (a) If no current is in the coil, what magnetic flux links its turns? (b) When the current in the coll is 4.34 A in a certain drection, the net flux through the coll is found to vanish. What is the inductance of the coil? (a) Number (b) Number Units UnitsExplanation / Answer
a) flux linkage = N B A
= 43 * 3.76 * 10-3 * pi * (13.5 * 10-2)2
= 9.25 * 10-3 Wb
b) inductance = flux linkage / i
= 9.25 * 10-3 / 4.34
= 2.13 * 10-3 H = 2.13 mH
