Question
The figure shows a conducting loop of wire being pushed into a uniform magneti field coming out of the page with a magnitude of 0.75T. The loop of the wire has a total resistance of 10 Ohms. There is an applied force to the right edge of the loop pulling it into the uniform magnetic field (to the left with a constant speed of 10 m/s. (Not sure if this part is important but there is a width of the rectangle of 25cm). What can be said about the current induced in the wire loop? A. A counterclockwise current is induced B. A clockwise current is induced C. The unduced current alternates its direction between clockwise and counter clockwise D. There is no induced current
PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW YOU GOT THE ANSWER
Explanation / Answer
since loop is placed in iniform magnetic force, force acting on the opposte sides of rectangular loop will be same but in opposite direction and hence get cancels. thus induced emf is zero.
net force is zero
induced current is also zero
