Consider the piping system given below. The system consists of a pump, insulated pipe and an elbow. It delivers air through an elbow for certain applications. Air is drawn from the surroundings at the conditions specified at section 1. At section 2, air has the property values shown in table 1. At section 3, air is drawn out through an orifice having a diameter of 0.55 m and at the velocity as shown. Air is then made to go through an elbow having an angle of 55 degrees. Figure 1.
