Question
Hi there. i've got question for Finite difference method in heat transfer.
I make temperature matrix [T] from nodal finite difference eq.
But the point is the answer of matrix is wrong.
i draw temperature matrix, using gaussian elimination method.
The question is what is wrong in the matrix. please, wait for your answer. thank you.
The problem does not indicate the boundary conditions, however Assuming this boundary conditions from your matrix configuration ho,Tinf o hi, Tinf i adiabatic k = 25 mK The problem with your matrix is that you are assuming that dx-dy, and it is no true. dx # dy dx = 0.5mm = 0.0005m dy = 1mm = 0.001mExplanation / Answer
According to the assumptions you have used, the matrix made is correct.
But the Assumptions made are not correct.
The points 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 will not be adaibatic
and the boundary conditions there will be: hi , Tinf i
