The table below (table 2) gives household trip rates by each purpose (home-based work, homebased shopping, home-based social/recreation, home-based school, home-based other) for a cross-classification between household vehicle ownership and household type.
The vehicle ownership categories are 0, 1, 2, and 3+ whereas the household type categories are: (1) retired households, (2) households with working persons but without children, (3) households with working persons and with children, and (4) seasonal resident households.
Table 3 provides the expected number of households by vehicle ownership and household type in a Zone for a future year. Estimate the total number of trips per day for each trip purpose that Zone B will produce during a typical day in the future year.
