answer- I will choose Taxonomy

It is method of giving naming to organism or plant species. There is vast diversity present in the earth surface. there are billions of plants and animals and bacteria and viruses etc. So it necessary to classify them and give them appropriate scientific name according to their characterstics. In this method orgaism either plant or animal are grouped into Taxa. and classify them according to taxonomic ranking which is called Taxonomic heirarchy. from Super Group to species. the Carolus Linnaeus is the father of taxonomy.

the history of taxonomy-

In 3000 BC Chinese Emperor Shen Nung test thousand of hurbs for medicinal value

In 1500 BC Egyptian wall painting preserved scroll classify different plant species by their name

Between 384 to 322 BC Greek Philosopher lauches the western tradition of taxonomy by classify plants and animals by their size and habitat and method of reproduction.

In 1510- 1565 Conard von gesner publish five volume of compenedium of known life forms

In 1656-1708 French botanist Joseph Pitton de tournefort classifies 9000 species of 698 genera

In 1707-1778 the Swedish Botanist Carl Linnaeus publish the system of nature in 1735 he is also known father of taxonomy

1- It aims to classify all living organism platand animals and provide them appropriate naming based on their characters

2- also help in determine the character of organism
