Global warming:

Introduction : Global warming is the excessive warming the globe nothing but earth. It is the increase of average surface temperatureof earth due to the affect of green house gases like carbondioxide , deforestration , emissions from burning fossil fuels.The most significant green house gas is water vapour,Carbondioxide.They both have internal vibration modes in molecules so they absorb and reradiate infra red radiation which cause green house effect.Carbondioxide remains in atmosphere for long time.Hence causes global warming.

Current situation : Human beings have increased the carbondioxide in the atmosphere by about 30%

Combustion of fossil fuels , for electricity generation , transportation and heating and also the manufacture of cement, all results emission of 22 billion tons of carbondioxide in to the atmosphere every year world wide.

Impacts of Global warming:

1)Rising seas.

2)Change in rainfall patterns

3)Melting of ice caps

4)Melting of glaciars

5) Loss of planktons due to warming of seas.

Ice is melting world wide especially in earth's poles.Due to global warming many sea animals , birds are being destroyed.From the research that penguins in Antartica were fallen from 32000 breeding pairs to 11,000 in 30 years

Sea levels are increasing from 7 to 23 inches by the end of century.

Future prediction : If we stopped emitting green house gases today , we can minimise global warming.

Green house gases concentration are to be stabilized to 450-550 parts per million (ppm) or about twice pre industrial levels.

The possibile wedges for this to happen is to improve the energy efficiency and vehicle fuel economy ( so less energy to be produced )increase in wing,solar power ,hydrogen produced from renewable sources, biofuels ( produced from crops ) natural gases , nuclear power.

Another process called carbon sequestration should be adopted.It is the process in which carbondioxide that is emitted from fossil fuels is captured and stored it underground.Naturally by increasing afforestration ,the sequestration process can be taken as the trees and plants absorb carbondioxide as they grow.

conclusion : Reduce, Reuse,Recycle is important. These three are very impotant to reduce global warming.
