Brazil's stabilization in population can be inferred from the decrease in the fertility rates owing to increase in the working women and delayed child-conceiving, from a peaking > 4 to an estimated mere 1.77 which is below than USA's nearly 2. Demographic transition (DT) refers to the transition from high birth and death rates to lower birth and death rates as a country or region develops from a pre-industrial to an industrialized economic system.
