Explanation / Answer
Immunity plays a very important role when caring for a patient that is experiencing a high amount of stress due to a loss as according to researches done by Psychologists in the field of "psychoneuroimmunology" the state of mind affects a person’s state of health. Studies by psychologist Janice Kiecolt-Glaser, and immunologist Ronald Glaser, of the Ohio State University College of Medicine, found by experimenting on animals that stress is linked to infection (Glaser, 2000).
