You are a nursing student finishing up your second year. Your mom calls you at school and tells you to meet her at the ER right away. Your baby is having trouble breathing and his fever has gone up. When you get to the ER, your baby is in an exam room with a pediatrician. The doctor is admitting the baby to the intensive care unit. The pediatrician suspects some kind of pneumonia. The doctor say:s she has seen a dozen cases just like your son in the past week. The nurse swabs the baby's nose and sends it off to the lab.
