He saw an orthopedist who referred him to physical therapy which he followed through for 18 visits over a 2 month period consisting of strengthening exercises for the posterior chain muscles and stretching. The client's pain decreased from a "6" to a "3" on a 0-10 scale. He is currently taking Aleve for his pain symptoms. He has no history of trauma. He is 5'11" and weighs 215 lbs. He does not currently exercise regularly besides the physical therapy he recently went to.The client is a social drinker and consumes about 4 drinks per week and does not smoke. He does not want to continue to take NSAIDs for his discomfort.Make dietary and/or nutritional supplement recommendations (include dosing and length of initial support) for this client for his osteoarthritis.
