1.From the scenario it is evident that both Terry and Sam are working for a Hospital .Both of them are on duty .Terry is in charge of the first floor.Due to fatigue he calls his colleague who is working on another floor to look for the patients .while he gets refreshed himself with coffee.
2 Usually fatigue and sleepiness occurs only during late night shifts .So the scenario might have happened around 2am in the morning and the scenario also says that their duty will be expected to be over within a couple of hours.
3.The main reason is that Terry is incharge of the floor and he knows the condition of the patient.if Dr Newsome enquires to Sam about the condition of the patient .he will be illeterate to answer his question.Dr Newsome will be angry if he doesnt find Terry in the department.
