Question
I established a C Corporation last year (June 1, 2017). Tax deadline is near and my company has no income. I understand that even though my company didn't make any money for the year, I still have to file a tax return (Form 1120). However, I am still confused whether or not I have to file a tax return for myself. I did appoint myself the CEO of the company. I am also the majority shareholder (100%). So am I considered self-employed and must file taxes? Because currently, I am NOT receiving any form payment from company due to the fact that it's not making any money to begin with.
Explanation / Answer
in this case individual doesnt have any income which is below the basic exemption limit,so as per the provisions of the act individual no need to file the tax return.
