I believe the ability to adapt or adaptation, that is present in the primates, is one of the most essential features that allows us the life we are living today. Since the advent of humanity, the environment has constantly changed and these changes have been brought about by various discoveries, inventions, and technical advancements in the fields of science. As a result, there have been development of industries, emission of gases, building infrastructure, cutting trees etc, which have majorly impacted the environment that we live in today.

This environment is no where close to the environment that the initial human species had witnessed, when they first came into this planet. If humans do not develop the ability to change along with the changing environment, it would become very difficult for them to survive in this world. Moreover, only people who adapt, are fit to survive and rest people are wiped out “survival of the fittest”. This shows how adaptation is utmost essential for the survival of humans.

One of the most important adaptations is of group living or living under a roof. Primates had always been used to live under open roofs, jungles or in temporary areas. This has transformed into tall buildings and permanent residences for the primates to live.
