Question

This Haplotype network was created from the information above it. My question is: How was this haplotype network created using the DNA information? What steps can one take to create this network? I dont understand where the numbers are coming from on this haplotype, or how to make sense of it. If someone could just explain , that would be great ! Thank you

Explanation / Answer

Nowadays haplotype network is created using the software. Potentially, it is more feasible to create a network. DNA sequence which is inherited from the parent is taken to create a haplotype network. DNA sequence which remains for generation can also be taken to generate the network.

The numbers seen on the map are the position of SNP on the locus. Every locus has the number and these are the position at which DNA sequence can be seen.
