In this unit we are learning about bacteria and viruses. While most are not pathogenic to humans, those that are can be deadly. Many vaccines are available to protect children and adults from life threatening illness. However, there is currently a battle raging between some parents and the medical community over the need for these vaccines. The general public often believes that vaccines are linked to the development of disorders such as autism. Scientific studies refute this belief. Where do you stand on the battle over vaccines? Do you believe they are a necessary part of growing up or a medical risk? Explain your views with some scientific research to back up your point.

Explanation / Answer

I feel that vaccination is very important for any children. It protect the children from many harmful and deadly diseases like diphtheria, chicken pox etc. Children at very young stage, due to weak immune system are prone to many bacterial and viral diseases.

Vaccination has lead to the removal of disease like polio caused by a virus. This disease has very few cases now reported in the world. The credit of this goes to the vaccination.

Some emerging diseases like pneumococal disease also infect and kill many children in a world in each year. But as, vaccine for pneumococcal have come, it saves the life of many children .

Parent should go and get vaccinated their child so that they can remain tension free from these diseases.
