Complete the following: (Negative amount should be indicated by a minus sign. Omit the "$" sign in your response.) Assuming the 1 percent market movement. JP Morgan should sell Assume a market movement of 1 percent.

Explanation / Answer

Stock portoflio would increase by 1.45*1%=1.45% of 1.1=15950

Option portfolio would increase by 15950*0.52=8294

hence, for 1% movement to be 8294, 8294/1%=829400 of market index portfolio should be purchased

Delta of put=Delta of call-1=0.52-1=-0.48

Market Index portfolio=829400

829400*1%*0.52=4312.88

For every 1% market movement, index will change by and value of put will change by delta*10*contract multiplier=-0.48*10*100=-480

Hence, JP Morgan should write/sell 4312.88/480=8.985167 put contracts
