Federal Govt. : Gross debt is defined as total liabilities and interest bearing debt resulting from past deficits, as well as debts associated with pension plans.
Net debt is gross debt - financial assets and Accumulated surplus/deficit = Net debt - non financial asset like buildings and infrastructure it owns, it is around USD 19 billion
c) Annual Deficit/Surplus : It is defined as when the federal government expenditures are subtracted from the revenues for a given fiscal year called as annual surplus if positive or deficit, if negative.
At present it is USD 19.4 billion for 2018-19
b) Ontario provincial govt. : Accumulated Surplus /deficit is same as mentioned above, at present the 2018-19 accumulated deficit is around $6.7 billion.
d) Annual deficit/surplus of Ontario provincial govt = It is around USD 7 billion.
