Question 1 : Function of circulatory system : (i)Circulatory system is important for transporting material from one part of body to another like food, water, oxygen etc. (ii) It carry waste material such as carbon diooxide away from the cells.

Question 2 : Thymus gland is two lobed organ located under sternum. It is fairly large during childhood but begins to disappear onset of puberty, becoming a small mass of connective tissue and fat in adulthood. It produce a hormone i.e. thymosin that stimulate developement of T cells. Both positive and negative selection of T cells takes place in thymus.

Question 3 : Coronary arteries (supplying heart blood) bring oxygen and nutrient to the heart muscles itselfs. Blockage of coronary arterties may damage or kill parts of muscles due to lack of oxygen. This causes heart attack.

Question 4 : Pericardium is the fluid filled sac that surrounds the heart and proximal end of aorta, venae cavae and pulmonery artery. It serves as outer protecting covering of the heart.
