This video above talks about making flu and HIV vaccines. What did you learn that you did not know about vaccines? What do you think was the most important take-away from his talk? From the ted talk, it is known that vaccines can prevent the occurrence of nearly 30 infectious diseases. Small pox which killed nearly half a billion people in the last century has been eradicated because of vaccines. The most important take away from this talk us that the vaccinescarw the most cost effective way of preventing the occurrence of diseases. An example of a new vaccine is flu vaccine. Flu vaccine is made by inoculating the virus in hen's egg and inoculating them for several days. It us then inactivated by chemicals and then purified to prepare a vaccine.
