List the various methods (techniques) used by scientists to study the past history of the earth’s climate as shown in the video

Which country is currently the greatest contributor of greenhouse gases? Which country will likely be the greatest contributor in the near future?

List three ways in which agricultural activities contribute to green house gases

Name two natural sources of green house gasses.

Explanation / Answer

Carbon dioxide is one of the primary greenhouse gas emitted through human activities and destroying the environment. CO2 accounts for about 81% of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions from human activities. Although carbon dioxide is naturally present in the atmosphere as part of the Earth's carbon cycle but its in regulated manner .Now ,human activities are altering the carbon cycle .they are doing this by by adding more CO2 to the atmosphere and by influencing the ability of forests and trees to remove CO2 from the atmosphere. It is known that CO2 emissions come from a variety of natural sources but human related emissions are mainly responsible for the since the industrial revolution.

CO2 emissions by use has a valur of about- 37 percent is emmited by electricity, 31 percent is transportation, 15 percent by industry sector, 10 percent is residential and commercial, and 6 percent is other like use of non fossil fuel combustion.

The main human activity that emits CO2 is the combustion of fossil fuels.Sossil fuels which comprise of coal, natural gas, and oil .Although certain industrial processes and also land use changes also emit CO2. The main sources of CO2 emissions in the United States are the following:-

Electricity.

We all know that electricity is a significant source of energy in the United States and is used in power homes, business, and as well as industry.Generation of electricity by the combustion of fossil fuels is the largest single source of CO2 emissions in the US, this accountsed for about 37 percent of total U.S. CO2 emissions and also 30 percent of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions in 2014.

Transportation.

The combustion of fossil fuels like the gasoline and diesel to transport people as well as transport goods is the second largest source of CO2 emissions .This accounted for about 31 percent of total U.S. CO2 emissions and as well as 25 percent of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions in the year 2014. This category transportation includes sources such as highway vehicles, as well as air travel, marine transportation, and railways too.
