Given the graph, analyze first:
The graph is describing the relation between the variables velocity and time, so, the area under any curve in the graph will represent the distance travelled for a particle.
So:
a. In this case, there are two lines which describes two cars. The car A between the interval from 0 to 2minutes, has been travelled more distance than car B, then car A car is ahead.
We can say that A is ahead because the are under curve A is greater than the area under curve B. (first option).
b.
As we explained at the beggining of the explanation. the are udner any curve represent the area travelled by the particle. In this case, the differemce between the areas will represente the distance by which one car is ahead of the other one. Then, it is the distance by which A is ahead of B after 2 minutes.
c. At this point we have to be careful analazing the graph. As we see in the previous point, the distance travelled by A from 0 to 2mins is greater than the distance travelled by B.
Now, for t = 4mins, the area covered from 0 to t=4 will still be greater for the curve about car A than the area for the curve about car B.
SO, after four minutes the car A is ahead.
The area under curve A is greater than the area under B.
d.
As we can see the behaviour for both curves, we could say that for a big time, each car will be again side by side. So, propose t = 120mins.
