a. Oceans are the natural sink for surface water, Ocean water is evaporated by solar radiation and reaches to atmosphere as water vapor. Water vapors are then condensed to form water droplets in favorable conditions. These water droplets which is heavy compared to air or original water vapors, will fall down under gravity as rain. When rain water reaches the natural surface of the earth it will start a downward journey, percolating through soil and reaches the ground water table. Ground water table is saturated portion of deep soil. From there, under influence of gravity or other parameters like, pressure. Water will exit through cracks lying below the water table. This is how water reaches to thousand springs.
b. From thousand springs, water will reach to snake river through channels and reaches to a main river. From there it will reach to ocean, Also, while travelling through river, water is again subjected to evaporation and percolation and this cycle is repeated.
