Question 11 Not yet answered Remote sensing is particularly useful for Physical Geographers because... Points out of 1.00 Select one: O a. It shows great spatial information Flag question b. It shows a wide range of information using different wavelengths c. It measures through direct contact with the object it is measuring d. All of the above e. Choice 1 and 2 only Question 12 Not yet answered Points out of 1.00 Earth's atmosphere can be divided into multiple layers according to temperature structure. These layers, in order from the surface upward, include Select one Flag question O a. thermosphere, troposphere, stratosphere b. troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere thermosphere c. troposphere, tropopause, stratosphere, stratopause d. ozonosphere, ionosphereExplanation / Answer
11. Answer is option “E", both 1st and 2nd option, remote sensing provides spatial information related to many disciplines like health ,environment, management of resources, engineering, etc.
In remote sensing photometers and radiometers are used to collect information of radiations reflected and emitted from the object which are having different wavelengths.
The third option is wrong as it says it measures through ""direct"" (actually it is indirect) contact with the object.
12. Option ""B"" is correct, as we go increasing the height from surface of the earth, we can find troposphere first upto 12km, later followed by stratosphere upto 50km, again followed by mesosphere upto 50km and Thermosphere (upto 700km), Exosphere (upto 10000km) . Tropopause is just an interaction named at the site of troposphere interacting with stratosphere, and similar with stratopause between stratosphere and mesosphere.
