Write an inequality that reflects that the maximum kiln time is 20 hours. What other practical inequalities exist for x and y?

(a) Total time required by x plates on wheel => x*(1/2) = x/2

Total time required by y bowl on wheel => y*(1) = y

=> Total time taken by x plates and y bowls => 0.5x + y 8 or x + 2y 16

(b) Total time required by x plates in kiln => x*(1) = x

Total time required by y bowl in kiln => y*(6) = 6y

=> Total time taken by x plates and y bowls => x + 6y 20

(c) As the number of bowls and plates cannot be negative , Inequalities which can be formed as below :

x 0 ; y 0
