The current trends of the environment follow catchy slogans of thinking green, reducing your carbon foot print. The idea is to try to produce the same products but in a more environmental friendly way. For example, Bank of America is providing that eco-friendly operations can coexist with business growth. Now imagine you are charged with building a facility run entirely by renewable resources. How would you evaluate which sources have the most potential? How can you create a green company like Bank of America?

In order to run an entire facility by renewable resources we need to implement the concept of Life cycle thinking. Life cycle thinking of any product refers to the holistic approach to reduce the resources consumption in all the processes involved in the life cycle of a product i.e. from the gathering of raw material for the product, then to manufacturing of product, packaging and distribution, use of the product and lastly the disposal of the product. Normal conventional methods of designing deals with manufacturing the product, using it and then dumping it while closing the loop means that even after using we’ll look for various methods by which we can use the disposes good for producing new products. It basically increases the environment sustainability of the product by implementing sustainable design and manufacturing.

This can be done by putting a price on natural attributes and ecological services, then it would increase the price of all the material and services as in this case we would be calculating the cost of negative effect that these material and services have on natural attributes and ecologyand thus on environment and on natural live. This will increase the consumer price of materials. This would be a good idea as it will encourage sustainable development and thus protect us from the energy crisis.
