QUESTION 1 1.00000 point Attendance Question 1 Attendance has never been a component of the grade for this course. However, over the years I have noticed that 40% of those who attend regularly receive an above average grade (B or better), while only 10% of those who do not attend regularly receive an above average grade. About 70% of the students attend class regularly. One student is randomly selected at the end of the semester. Find the probability that the student attended class regularly and received an above average grade. a. 9/23 b. 7/25 . 69/100 od. 31/100Explanation / Answer
Soln, Given that P (A)= Probaility of student who attended class regularly= 0.70
also P(B|A) = Probaility of student who attended call regularly and got above average mark=0.40
and P(C) = Probabilty of students who did not attended class regualrly but gor above average marks= 0.10
Now according to question
Probability of. Student attended class regularly and recevied an above aberage mark
P(A and B)= P(A) *P(B|A)= 0.70*0.40= 0.28
