Confidence Interval in News Story Hi, this week the discussion task is to find a news article that talks about a confidence interval of a survey and interpreting what that means. Please link the article and, in two or three sentences, explain what the confidence interval is about. My article is: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/897833 This is a survey that looks at he association between allergies and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). They surveyed 199,520 kids and found that 0.95% had ASD. The confidence interval was 0 89%-1 01%. In numbers this means that they believe the number of kids in the sample with ASD is between 1776 and 2015 with the mean of that range being 1895

Explanation / Answer

The 95% confidence interval for average number of kids that had ASD was found to be (1776 , 2015) .This means that there is a 95% chance that this interval contains the true value of the mean (population mean).

In other words, if many samples are taken and 95% confidence interval are contracted for each of the sample, then 95% of these interval will contain the true mean.
