BMI and GENDER. It is well known that men tend to weighmore than women and men tend to be taller than women. The body massindex (BMI) is a measure based on weight and height. Listed beloware BMI values for randomly selected men and women. Doesthere appear to be a notable difference?

Men:   23.8 23.2 26.2 23.5 24.5 21.5   31.4  26.4   22.7   27.8 28.1  24.6
Women:   19.6  23.8   19.6   29.1   25.2  21.4   22.0   27.5   33.5  20.6   29.9   17.7

What you can do is find the Mean,Median, Mode, and Range of the numbers for the men andwomen separately to determine if there is a difference. The mean is the "average." Add up all of the men's scores anddivide by 12, since there are 12 scores. Do the same for thewomen's scores and compare. The median is the number in the middle. To find this, put yournumbers in order from lowest to highest. Because you have an EVENnumber of scores (12), pick the two middle numbers and take theirmean. The mode is the number that appears the most. The range is the highest number minus the smallestnumber. I hope that helps!
