To ensure a sample that covers the entire school I would chooseStratified sampling. This would result in dividing up groups byyear and gender. Then selecting a set number from each group andcompiling the results. I used this technique last year in my high school stats class andhave learned much more about its benefits this year in my collegestats course. I hope this helps. Message me for more info.
