Question

The hourly wages of a sample of 130 system analysts are givenbelow. (nothing but the following is given): Mean = 60 Mode = 73 Median = 74 Range = 20 Variance = 324 Figure out the coefficient of variation. I tried this problem every which way and cannot back into theanswer. I know how to compute the 5 above, but don't think there'senough information to compute the coefficient of variation. I'vebeen at this one problem over an hour. It's going to keep me upuntil I find the answer and where I missed something. Thanks The hourly wages of a sample of 130 system analysts are givenbelow. Explanation / Answer

The sample variance is standard deviation^2 (s^2), and itsgiven to you- 324. So the standard deviation is root(324).   The standard deviation (s) is 18. Now just plug into yourequation. CV= (18/60) x 100% CV=30
