Define "light photons" and "infrared photons a. How are they represented in the simulation? b. If you were talking to a friend about what you observe, how would you explain what is happening with the energy from the sun and the energy from the Earth? In the winter, weather reporters often day "It will be a very cold night because there are no clouds 2. ." a. Use the sim to see if you can understand why this could be true. b. Describe your observations ere be a difference between daytime and nighttime cloud effects? If so, what are they? 3. How can you make the greenhouse gases act similar to clouds? a. Explain what you did. b. Give the evidence to prove you made them act alike in a few different.situations What do you notice about greenhouse gas effect on photons that is different from cl examples from . ouds? Give situations that you made in the sim to support your ideas. .Use the Photon Absorption tab to identify which of the molecules provided in the sims are r ideas. o18 Edit of original by Loeblein http:/lphet.colorado.eduExplanation / Answer
1) Light Photons- in the atomic model and research in the physics we can defined it as it is the particle which is present in the light or in other words light have the compositions of photons in them as similar to a matter have the composition of the atoms in it.in light the photons are quantaized with the quantum energy in them. they have energy E=hc/lambda. in simulation they are defined as the photons which have the wavelength of the visible range and thus there radiation is visible to human eyes. they are get radiate from sun in the form of light.
Infrared Photons- these are those kinds of photons which are emitted by the electrons of a high energy particle which absorb and radiate photons in such radiation zonne of energy whose wavelength is not in the range of the wavelength of the visible light waves. thus they are not visible to human. they are also coe in the form of light from sun but they are not sensible to the human eyes. when it come to earth due to high wavelength they cannot escape from the earth and thus they trap in the atmosphere of earth.

2) yes it is very true that if there are no clouds on the earth surface then the temparature of that region will be very much colder as compare to the region where the clouds are present on the surface of the earth. it is happen due to the fact that clouds acts as a energy traper for the radiation come from the sun in the form of heat and light. what happen is that when the sun radiate the light waves come to earth. they reflecte back to the earth surface and try to do back but during this the wavelength of such radiation get high and thus cloud trap these high wavelength radiation of heat and light which we recieve in day time.
Due to this traping the radiation in that region the temperature goes on increasing. in winter if this clouds are not present then most of the radiation go back an thus makes the region very colder.

3) as cloud are helping in the increament of the earth temperature by traping the small wavelength light radiations. but suppose if there are no clouds and we need to rise the temperature of the earth then what would we do to make it happens. it happens by the method of greengouse gases methods. we produce or generate greenhouse gases by the process of cumbustion of the natural gases and forest materials. as we know that greenhouse effect is a process of warming a planet by its own radiation. if we own produce this radiation from the earth then it will radiate from earth and hence it will unable to leave the earth atmosphere and start heating the atmosphere of earth.

4) as we know that photons are the energy particles which are present in the light. the photons are propogate in the form of waves. the wavelength of photons is depends greatly on the sources and the circumferances. when the light come from sun it have photons which have the particle photons in them which have long and short wavelength. when the radiation reflect back their wavelength goes change. now the photon have the long wavelength as compared to previous case. thus greenhouse effect on photons as making them a longer wavelength particle.

5) there are 4 major gas molecules which we can say as it have the sim of greenhouse gases. these are -
water vapour (H2O)
methane (CH4)
carbon dioxide (co2)
ozone (O3)
they help to formation of the long wavelength radiation which have the heating effect to the earth atmosphere. the more of this can create global warming thus it should be limited to use the greenhouse concept on earth.
