When doing a Two-Sample t-test like this one how do youdetermine which is S1 and S2? Although the Acceptance/Rejection of Ho is the same either waythe confidence intervals are reversed if you switch the group 1 andgroup 2 data. I understand that for F-test calculations fordifferences in variance you always use the higher variance in thenumerator, but is there a similar rule for a 2-sample t-test thatI'm just missing? There is no such rule for determining which is S1 and which isS2. We should judge based on the confidence interval and by itsconclusion. Athough we do reversing , we can get the sameconclusion.
