(A)Figure 10.10: From this figure it is found that Mississippi River shows dendritic drainage pattern. Because this pattern shows a tree-shaped pattern, where several tributaries are joined to main river and resemble like a branch or root of a tree.
The lithology which is found below this dendritic drainage basin is mainly uniform type. This type of pattern is mainly found below the surface which shows low relief, gentle dipping pattern. This type of form may develop in areas covered by horizontal sedimentary rocks or massive igneous or metamorphic rocks.
(B)Figure 10.12: This type of pattern is dendritic type as it is resembling like a tree.
The rock pattern below this drainage system may show uniform lithology, i.e. horizontal sedimentary rocks or massive igneous or metamorphic rocks.
