Question
Design a bit-0 counting circuit with a minimum number of gates and display the output using the BCD converter from Lab#1. A bit-0 counting circuit is used to count how many number of bits in a given 4-bit binary number that are equal to 0. For example,
if the 4-bit input number is 0000, there is no bit (0 bit) in that number that are equal to 1, therefore the output is 4.
if the 4-bit input number is 0001, there are 1 (0012) bits in that number that are equal to 1, therefore the output is 3.
if the 4-bit input number is 1011, there are 3 (0112) bits in that number that are equal to 1, therefore the output is 1
if the 4-bit input number is 1111, there are 4 (1002) bits in that number that are equal to 1, therefore the output is 0.
