1)The Dole pineapple thrived after the annexation of Hawaii.The Dole pineapple company was founded by James Dole in 1901 in the central plateaus of the Hawaiian islands.The annexation of Hawaii to the United States made selling agricultural products much more profitable ,since they would never be subject to import tarrifs.

2) Prior to the US civil war ,the industrial North supported the agrarian South.The soil in the North didn't support large plantations rather small areas of plantations,and hence was the hub of factories. The South had much more fertile soils and mostly relied on large scale plantations.

3)The Jamaica was an English colony from 1655 to 1962,and the British controlled the electoral systems and appointed governors who administrated British laws and collected taxes.

4)The Decree of 14 July 1952 by the Belgian authorities introduced an element of democracy to the Rwandan political system. Which involved seven stages of elections to eventually elect the national superior council ( french : Conseil Superieur du Pays)

5) The colonists in the US outnumbered the indigenous people around 1790s,when the population of the colonies grew to around 3,900,000 and the population of indigenous people slumped to around 2,800,000.
